Stock Market Timing in INDIA 

The stock market timing in India refers to the regular trading hours during which the major stock exchanges in the country are open for trading. 


The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which are the two primary stock exchanges in India, are open for trading from Monday to Friday, except on holidays declared by the exchange in advance. 


The regular trading hours for both NSE and BSE are as follows:


1. Pre-Open Session: 

The pre-open session starts at 9:00 AM and lasts for 15 minutes. During this time, investors can place buy or sell orders in the exchange's trading system.


2. Normal Trading Session: 

The normal trading session starts at 9:15 AM and lasts till 3:30 PM. During this time, the exchange facilitates the buying and selling of stocks, as well as other financial instruments such as futures, options, and currencies.


3. Closing Session: 

The closing session starts at 3:30 PM and lasts for 15 minutes. During this time, investors can place orders for closing positions or for carry-forwarding to the next trading day.
